    Usually this is a browser issue. You can clear the browser cache in the browser settings, if it doesn’t work, attempt using a different browser to verify the issue.

    Look on the bottom of your modem to see what model it is. Do the upgrade and recheck your speed. If the equipment you currently have meets your needs, why spend on upgrades?

    In Windows device manager, go to network adapters, select the wireless adapter, go to properties, advanced, wireless mode and make sure its set to auto. Here is the link for drivers, make sure you pick the right version. Info will be on the box it came in or on the label underneath the router.

    What if you connect your laptop to the powerline via ethernet cable? BTW, when you say "modem" I assume you mean router/modem. And, the PLA is also attached to the router/modem via ethernet.
