[SOLVED] BSOD: Page Fault in NONPAGED Area, can't boot

i asked somewhere else and they analysed the crash dump and it was a driver conflict caused by Gigabyte tools. gdrv.sys. deleted all traces of Gigabyte tools such as @bios, OC Button, App Centre, etc and now I can boot successfully. thanks guys.

[SOLVED] BSOD: Page Fault in NONPAGED Area, can't boot

Is there a way I can test out whether it is a driver conflict? E.g. can I do a clean install of Windows on another partition or smth to test whether everything is fine there. Cuz I have a new drive that's spare that hasn't been used.

[SOLVED] BSOD: Page Fault in NONPAGED Area, can't boot

Yeah I don't really want to do that unless I have to, if the issue can be identified I'd much rather find out first. Rather than format and have it turn out that the fault continues. I've changed the mobo twice in the past, changed the case, changed Nvidia cards, used Macron Reflect to swap...

[SOLVED] BSOD: Page Fault in NONPAGED Area, can't boot

Hi everybody, Well I have a problem I hope someone can please help me with. I just spent about 11 hours emptying my old PC from it's midtower and changing the motherboard, cpu cooler, ram and CPU and adding a M2 drive. I kept a GPU, case, soundcard and two SSDs and switched a case fan also...

I cannot access BIOS on Windows 8.1 - and there are no UEFI settings tile.

I also have this problem on my Gigabyte board. I can't access my UEFI through Advance Settings or by pressing delete/f8. Should I reset my CMOS or something?

Are these bent socket 1150 pins?

I've tried loosening the cpu cooler and motherboard screws but no difference. Could this be causing it? On the back of my mobo the centre screwhole (where the case protrusion goes in) has scratch wear past the circular 6 metal dots and onto the motherboard. http://oi59.tinypic.com/2d7fybq.jpg...

Are these bent socket 1150 pins?

^^No, sorry I just wrote the wrong number of protruding standoffs. Edited it now. IDK why it's shorting then. How do I find out what's causing the short?

Are these bent socket 1150 pins?

My case has *EDIT* 7 protruding screwholes, 1 protrusion, and one protruding removable standoff that's been screwed in. And one protrusion that goes inside the mobo. I only have 5 mobo case screws so there's more screwholes than there are screws. The Gigabyte Z97X-SOC force has 9 screwholes...

Are these bent socket 1150 pins?

So I benchtested the system and it booted to bios. It was mobo, gpu, 1 stick of ram, cpu, cpu cooler and psu. So I'm guessing the problem is a short caused by smth in my Corsair 200r case... Yippee! Just gotta solve that problem now.

Are these bent socket 1150 pins?

I rebuilt back on my my old mobo to see if it was my mobo or CPU at fault. My PC doesn't reboot any more but it turns on without any display. I have no case speaker so I can't hear any beep codes. Since the CPU doesn't work in either mobo I'm guessing I messed it up somehow? If so what can I...

Are these bent socket 1150 pins?

It's turning on now, but I'm back to the endless rebooting. When I try to turn my PC on it doesn't boot, it just keeps turning off and restarting within two seconds. Fans start, mobo lights come on. No bios, no windows. IDK what's wrong it all seemed quite simple. ATX/PSU cables are in. cpu...

Are these bent socket 1150 pins?

What can I do about my PSU? I don't have a spare I can test with. It was working before I replaced my mobo. When I last tried to turn my PC on again this time the power light came on and the fan started but then I heard the PSU(?) click and it turned off. And it wouldn't respond to me pressing...

Are these bent socket 1150 pins?

Did a reseat of the cpu cooler and reapplication of the thermal paste. Also switched some fan headers. When I tried to boot it doesn't even turn on now. Dunno what to do. I don't think it's bent socket pins anymore cos the socket looks the same as the one I replaced.

Are these bent socket 1150 pins?

Why what might be the problem with the CPU Cooler? It's pretty heavy I got a Thermalright Macho rev. B.

Are these bent socket 1150 pins?

My rebuild keeps turning off when I try to boot it up. I've looked through the guide: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/261145-31-perform-steps-posting-post-boot-video-problems and I can't seem to find where I've went wrong. Everything seem plugged in properly. I'm paranoid about the pins...
