Need help with a built in home theater setup already in the home. The connections are built into the living room wall with surround sound speakers mounted on the walls as well. What do I need to do (buy) to utilize this surround sound setup? The speakers are klipsch. Thanks

You'll need a receiver capable of 5 channel output, some wire and some banana plugs, 20 or more. You many also want to buy a subwoofer and some atmos speakers. In the latter case you would need a receiver with 7 channel output and a coaxial digital output for the subwoofer.

You'll be running short lengths of wire from your receiver to the matching jacks on the wall. Its easiest if you install a banana plug on each end of the wire so you can just plug them into the hole. Or you can order them already assembled if you don't want to cut the wire yourself:

Ok so basically it sounds like I'm going to run my tv to the receiver via hdmi and the the corresponding matching outputs (i.e.e left front on receiver to the left front on the wall) via a banana plug cable? https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=15519

You could get one like this:

https://www.denon.com/en-us/product/av-receivers/avr-s670h/300778-new.html

or any other major brand like Sony or Yamaha etc.
I have one last question (hopefully ;) ) I already have this subwoofer and watched a youtube video where someone connected their subwoofer with a purple cable. How would I connect this subwoofer to this Yamaha AV Receiver? Thanks

You would connect a cable like this:

https://www.amazon.com/Cable-Matters-500066-6X2-subwoofer-Cables/dp/B08KSH24DK?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1

from the jack marked pre-out subwoofer on the receiver and plug it into the white Line In L socket on the subwoofer. (Don't know why they sell them in pairs when you only need one).
