I played the pre-order first chapter of Baldurs Gate 3 using a 1050 ti before the game was fully released at about 15 to 20 fps. It was still fun.

You will be able to play some games with a 1050 ti just with low framerates and detail levels. It's the processor I'm not sure about though because I think it is way slower than most games' minimum requirements.

You can update drivers. I just installed a network adapter driver that is 4 years more recent than the one I had. They don't update the motherboard support drivers page with the latest drivers.

You need to do a clean install of windows if you have changed the motherboard for a different one.

I have noticed long loading times in recent games also. I believe the blame lies with shader compilation so I'm not sure more RAM would help.

I wouldn't put 8 fans in there, I would go for two front intake and one rear exhaust. I haven't kept up to date with what fans are good these days. I've been using Noctua fans in my system but I'm sure there are cheaper alternatives which offer better value for money.
