Question What's an inexpensive AIO product line with a strong pump and low price?

This is for testing an entire product line. I am not going to build a custom loop, just make CLs that look as much like a standard AIO as possible.

Question What's an inexpensive AIO product line with a strong pump and low price?

I'm thinking of buying an inexpensive product line with 120mm, 140mm, 240mm, 280mm, 360mm AND 420mm AIOs. What product line isn't that expensive, has a strong pump (I don't care about the fans since I'll just swap them out if they're weak), and comes in all of those sizes? If it doesn't have all...

    Question Gelid Products and Discounts

Sorry, the last time I linked to a video I created about Windows and keys, I was banned. I was very explicitly told I CANNOT link to any of my own work in public. So, unless the rules have changed since 2022 and you can guarantee that I will NOT be persecuted for sharing the results of my own...

    Question Gelid Products and Discounts

Thanks for the drill-down! 50,000~=5.7 years. The temperature listed is important because, the higher the temp and the higher the hours, the more resistant it (theoretically) is to temperature degradation. ARGB is eye-candy, that's all. It makes no positive difference aside from aesthetics and...

    Question Gelid Products and Discounts

Sorry, I'm not feeling well this week, so my processor is on the fritz. Can you explain why I should do so? I can tell from looking at the specs on Gelid's website, and what's missing from them, that it's not a very impressive product. That said, Thermalright is abyssmally bad at putting up...

Question Changing Deepcool AK620 Fans position ?

NGL, I would've returned it instead of using it. The scratches are clearly from the factory, but that broken plate...Well, it could've been at the factory or in transit. I've received several coolers with bent fins, for example, which was due to the box being dropped in transit.

Question Changing Deepcool AK620 Fans position ?

You need to understand that when you're looking at the best coolers, the difference in temperature is NOT large. 5C is really good!

Question What are the worst TIMs?

Thanks for the response and those were great points you listed! My answers are: Yes Yes As best as I'm able, yes. I have no way to measure the final thickness. I think I would opt for Honeywell instead of TG. It ages like fine wine. ;) To be quite honest, a lot of what I do for testing is...

Question Will NZXT Kraken Elite 360 adequately cool a TR5/SP6 socket CPU?

I'm still analyzing the data, and i haven't yet seen anything that helps me to understand why. these results have already been achieved by testers before our separate tests, and MSI points to front mount. If you want to see more, you'll need to PM me because I'm not allowed to link to it on...

Question Will NZXT Kraken Elite 360 adequately cool a TR5/SP6 socket CPU?

Any time I see someone make a blanket statement, it's 98% certain that they are either partially or fully wrong, or they are lying. Your statement is probably wrong, so I'll just assume you made an error. I stated that based on testing conducted by myself and another person, the top is the...

Question Will NZXT Kraken Elite 360 adequately cool a TR5/SP6 socket CPU?

Top mount is the least valuable position for an AIO. Testing that I and a peer have done demonstrate that if the front is somewhat blocked (e.g. glass plate on the 5000X) and you can side mount, it will be the best option. If there is no significant front barrier, it will be better than side...

Question Fans randomly ramp up to max rpm ?

Just as a note, the problem might have been software for the mobo, or another program that can control fans. They override BIOS settings. I had a really big headache with Asus Armoury Crate not only doing this but refusing to relinquish control and subverting registry edits I made that stopped...

Question What are the worst TIMs?

Would it be better to test with an air or water cooler? My guess is air because it heats up faster.

Question Changing Deepcool AK620 Fans position ?

Based on my testing, putting the fans on pull instead of push will decrease cooling. Your best bet is a combo of your 2nd and, if needed, 3rd options.

I guess I should've made this statement: I'm actually a tester. I have Alphacool Silver, which really does suck. Question Igor from Igor's Lab reviews AlphaCool Apex Stealth Metal (Power) Fan

der8auer kinda ripped into the fan, just like I ripped into the exaggerated marketing that was clearly making false claims, too. Question Which fan cable adapters do I need?

All true. If you want to be VERY technical, there are 3 standard plugs for fan motors: 2-, 3- and 4-pin, and they all fit on the standard mobo header. :) Yes, I know, almost no-one makes 2-pins anymore, except some Chinese companies, and there are some that even sell 2-pin Molex D! Question Which fan cable adapters do I need?

With an inventory of ~300 fans now, I'm running more and more often into problems with fans that I cannot test the lights of and, less often, fans that I cannot test at all. This is because I'm coming across many nonstandard connectors from many different companies, including a 5-pin connector...
