How to Downsample and Increase Refresh Rate using CRU to overclock your monitor for Gaming

Before we start the tutorial, let's cover two things; the first is that Downsampling is a very GPU intensive anti-aliasing technique, so you're going to need a very powerful card to get good mileage using this technique, however if you play older games...

Need advise on selling my replacement GPU!

Some manufacturers will transfer the warranty. You can check that out on the company's website. As for the price of a 980, depends on make and model but I've seen them go anywhere from $450 to $500.

Does this website look fishy for buying a new graphics card?

No, I really wouldn't trust that retailer, considering their options for what you can purchase with you would most likely be getting scammed, Alibaba is an EBay of sorts and since they refuse to use a method of purchase that has sufficient buyer protection such as PayPal or Escrow, I really...

    Should I get 980 Ti ?

I would wait a good long while until we see the new lineups from AMD and Nvidia, if you're gaming at 1080P currently upgrading is not going to get you any more performance, if you're gaming at 1440P to 4K or at 144Hz then you might see some gains from upgrading, but even then you should probably...

    Idle/Load Temps seem really high

Those temps for the CPU with stock cooler are pretty standard. The Intel stock cooler just plain sucks. As for the GPU what's your fan curve look like, if it's supposed to be silent at idle, ie. not spinning, then those are also pretty standard. If not, then there might be an issue. Thought it...

What AMD CPU would be better for gaming?

The FX 8350 is going to be your best bet for gaming. CPU: AMD FX-8350 4.0GHz 8-Core Processor ($169.99 @ Newegg) Total: $169.99 As for the SSD you should look into something like the Samsun 850 EVO 120GB, it has great performance per dollar, and is highly recommended.

Is a CPU Cooler a Must for Overclocking?

Well, if you want to overclock first you're going to need a K edition processor from intel or really any processor from AMD. So out of the two listed only the 4690K can overclock. Second, YES you will need a 3rd party CPU cooler in order to overclock. The default cooler that comes with Intel...

Which CPU cooler to OC an i7-4790K?

Well... Here we go, I checked the compatibility for your RAM with the Noctua NH-D14 and the Sniper series happens to fit. Better yet, I found one going for 74.99 which just so happens to be under $75! Here's a link, if you don't like that website, Amazon has it for $2 more but that would be...

Is this a good fan curve? (gtx 650)

If you're getting the noise and temperatures that you want? The fan curve is great. If not? Improve it, turn down the speed at certain temperatures or raise them if you think it's getting too hot. One recommendation I can make is you can shift it a lot to the right. Have it start ramping up from...

    Fans not spinning

What's the fan profile? It might be set not to spin until it reaches a certain temperature, for instance 50C. Try running an intensive game or a benchmark, it should turn on.

After Installing a new brand SSD drive Windows boots So Fast I can't get into the UFIE..

I think Asus has some utilities that will let you boot to BIOS/UEFI, otherwise when your computer boots up just spam Del, it should get you in. Glad your upgrade is so fast that it won't even let you access the BIOS.

Which Motherboard is better for gaming?

You should look at a single GPU solution, if you have a certain budget, feel free to let me know. Right now probably isn't the time to purchase a GPU as the new AMD lineup comes out in less than a week which means a whole new set of benchmarks and performance per dollar analysis charts. If...

    dead graphics card?

Well... we can test if it's the board or not if you have another GPU on hand, anything works really, if that one has the same issues it's the motherboard. Otherwise in the words of Bones, He's dead Jim. Artifacting and crashes are a pretty good sign of that. As to the answer of if those cards...

My first true OC with I5 4690K

Need help overclock i5-4690k to 4.5GHz

Some processors are greater than others, yours may not be able to maintain a stable 4.5GHz, my i5 3570k can't go to 4.6GHz no matter what I try. It's just a matter of luck. Not really sure if that answers your question, but if you get BSODs/Temps are too high then you just need to tone it down...

what oc can i get on an i7 4790k with a cooler master hyper 212 evo?

Your mileage may very but a typical "safe" overclock that I see with that CPU & Cooler combination is ~4.2GHz, you may get better or worse results.

Which Motherboard is better for gaming?

What CPU are you planning on using, that's going to determine what motherboard you need. Also how many GPUs, do you want to stream games, other questions need to be answered. Most motherboards perform the same in terms of "gaming" but there are certain features that we can tailor to your needs.

Will i be able to overclock the CPU of this build?

Yes, but not with that board. You should look at getting a Z97 Chipset board, ie. Asus Z97-A, Gigabyte Z97-HD3, or Asrock Z97 Extreme4 are all good examples of cheap but great boards for the money.

    sapphire radeon 2gb r9 270x overclock

    1. You do not need extra "stuff", the stock cooler on the Sapphire is fine. 2. AC Unity is for lack of a better word, horribly optimised. You may or may not get increased performance out of this. 3. Don't worry about changing voltage, that's for much higher overclocks for things like water...

Buy new Graphics Card or a new PC? Help, images!

You have a fantastic processor, this is good news for you because that means you don't need a new PC. What you do need is two things, a new GPU and a new PSU, because both of the ones you have are pretty low quality. Do you have a budget so I can make a proper recommendation? Also this image...

It's not going to be fun in an ITX box, it's difficult to work with the small space you have provided, but I'm sure you could look up some guides if you really want to.
