Question Can you update Android

I have an Lenovo tablet circa 2017 on Android 7 which has never received an android update. It is still a good tablet but lacking storage badly as only 16gb. I have installed an SD card but can not fully integrate into storage as Android 7 won't support this. Is there anyway of upgrading the Android version. Lenovo has never given an update since ownership. Thanks Mark.

You'd have to find an Android alternative: https://itsfoss.com/open-source-alternatives-android/. I would say go with LineageOS since it's based off of the popular Cyanogenmod, which is a fork of Android (basically, Android without the Google stuff).
