Hello, I just got a new Ubee Wi-Fi Modem, the internet connection is working just fine when connected to my router (I want to use the modem's wifi since mine router limits the internet speed) or directly to laptop. The problem lies within the modem's wifi, after reseting it, the modem is stuck on checking the "telehony status" so the wifi is not working. The "gateway" option is not showing up when accesing the web user interface. The "Tel1" LED keeps blinking and wifi LEDs are off. Anyone knows how to fix this?

Solution
Is this actually a "new/different" cable modem than you were using before. Most cable companies require you call them to activate them. This is how they prevent unauthorized connections. The phone on these type of devices is very special thing. Many times these setting are hidden from you by the ISP. Many times they need to load a configuration into the modem for the phone jacks to work.

Your best bet is to call your ISP and see if they can do something.

I have to agree it's the best thing I can do in that situation, since I've tried pretty much everything and nothing worked. Thank you very much for the explanation and advice!
