oldest pc we had is a 386 or a 486.. not sure. My dad played chess with it every morning.

it had Windows 3.1, but was later updated to Windows 95 by my uncle using several diskettes.

sadly, that pc was given away. I would have preserved it if we still had it today.

First computer was a Commodore Amiga 500 in 1988. 3MB ram... booted off a floppy... and had amazing graphics. Did lots of BBS surfing with my 9600 baud modem.

First PC was an Intel Pentium 75mhz in 1997. First AMD PC was an Athlon XP 1800+ in 2001... went Intel in 2003 and didn't go back to AMD until my 2023 build.

Computer Chronicles is an amazing YouTube channel about that TV show that covered vintage computers of the '80's and 90's.

That was my second micro, but the first model that only had 512Kb I bought an expansion some time later to get it up to a whopping 1Mb.

My first micro was an amstrad CPC 464 that had a full 64kb of ram and worked with cassette tapes.
But it would boot up from rom straight into basic just like the C64.
