Change Time Display on Windows 8 Lock Screen

As per the default configurations in Windows 8/Windows 8.1, the current time as per the system and region is displayed right on the lock screen itself. Although this default configuration has been designed and implemented in order to make things easier for the end-users, sometimes you might not want he time to be displayed on the lock screen whatsoever.

If this is the situation, you can disable the time displayed on the lock screen in Windows 8/Windows 8.1 by following the steps given below:

    ■Log on to Windows 8/Windows 8.1 using the administrator account.
    ■On the Start screen, hover mouse to the bottom right corner of the window.
    ■From the displayed Charms bar, click Settings (gear icon).

    ■From the opened Settings pane in the right, click the Change PC settings option from the bottom.

    ■On the opened PC settings window, click the PC and devices category from the left pane.

    ■On the PC and devices window, make sure that the Lock screen category is selected in the left pane.
    ■From the right pane, under the Lock screen apps section, click the Alarms option (option with the clock icon) from the displayed icons.
    ■From the Choose an app list, click to select the Don’t show quick status here option.

    ■Once this is done, log off from the currently signed in user. The lock screen should not display the time this time.

10. If the lock screen still shows the time app, restart the computer and then check again.
