How To

Get Custom Character Portraits In Tyranny

When you first start a new character in Tyranny, you'll be presented with a good number of portraits to choose from that will represent your character. If none of this suit you though, why not add your own custom portraits? Here's how you can do so and it's a pretty easy process.

Step 1)Find a picture you want to use.

This can be literally any picture you want, you'll just need to save it to your computer so that you can make some changes to it before you can use it.

Step 2)Resize the image.
index.php

You'll need two images for the portrait, one image of 210×330 pixels and one of 79×96 pixels. You can use any image editing program to change these dimensions if you want, I used IrfanView myself and managed to resize my fireball throwing Mario pretty quickly.

Step 3)Save the images to the games portrait folders.

The larger image will need to be saved as something along the lines of portrait_lg.png while the smaller will be _sm instead. Make sure you save them both as a png image or they won't work. By default, if you purchased the game through Steam you'll need to save them to \SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Tyranny\Tyranny_Data\data\art\gui\portraits\player\male.

And there you have it! If this has been done correctly the next time you load up the game and go to start a new character you'll have the option to select this new customer profile picture!
