How Can I Get Snipping Tool in Windows 8?

Just like all other post Windows XP operating systems, even Microsoft Windows 8/Windows 8.1 also has Snipping Tool as its built-in program. Not to mention with the help of Snipping Tool you can easily capture the screenshots of almost everything that is displayed on your computer screen.

With various options that the Snipping Tool has, you can capture the entire screen with the help of Full-Screen Snip, any active dialog box or window of any wizard using the Window Snip, any particular area of the screen in rectangular shape using the Rectangular Snip, or you can also cover any random shaped area of the computer screen that you want to capture by using the Free-Form Snip.

Although the Snipping Tool is integrated with Windows 8/Windows 8.1 and is ready to use, sometimes it might be challenging for the new users to locate the program due to the operating system’s new interface.

If you are unable to locate the Snipping Tool in your Windows 8/Windows 8.1 computer, you must follow the steps given below in order to find and initialize the application:

■Log on to the Windows 8/Windows 8.1 computer with any account.
■Assuming that you might want to capture the screenshot of any opened application or interface, click the Desktop tile from the Start screen.
■Once on the desktop window, initialize the interface/wizard/application whose screenshot you would like to capture.
■After initializing the desired object, hover mouse to the bottom right corner of the screen.
■From the displayed Charms bar, click Search.



■From the Search pane that appears in the right, in the available field, type Snipping Tool.
■From the displayed results, click the Snipping Tool which should probably be the first one in the list.



■Once the Snipping Tool is initialized, you can choose any of the desired snipping methods to capture the screenshot.
