How Can I Turn On/Off Bing Desktop Wallpaper in Windows 8/Windows 8.1?

Bing Desktop is a decorative and advanced search tool that can be downloaded directly from the Microsoft’s official website. When Bing Desktop is installed, you can also have different wallpapers on the desktop background, which you can change periodically as per your individual preferences.

If you are using your Windows 8/Windows 8.1 computer at your home, you would definitely like to have different sets of wallpapers, and you would want to regularly change them in order to make your computer experience more interesting.

On the other hand, if the operating system is used in any organization, you might not want to change the desktop wallpapers that frequently in order to maintain the decorum of the office. If this is the case, you must disable Bing Desktop wallpaper by following the steps given below:

■Log on to Windows 8/ Windows 8.1 using any account.
■Once logged on, click Desktop from the Start screen.
■On the desktop screen, from the Bing Desktop window, on the upper-right corner, click the Settings gear symbol.



■On the Settings window, ensure that you have selected the General tab.
■At the bottom of the Settings window, uncheck the Turn on wallpaper toolset checkbox.



■If you want to re-enable the wallpapers, follow the above steps from 1 to 5, and check the Turn on wallpaper toolset when on step 5.
