Keeping our data backed-up and secure has become a top concern of many user’s. Laptops tend to suffer the most data loss as they're subject to bumps and drops. Additionally, the 2.5" mechanical drive will usually give out due to regular wear and tear. Data loss is always frustrating, which is why Microsoft’s new automatic data back-up features are a much welcomed feature in Windows 10.

File History is one way you can make sure your data backup is a seamless process. Here's how you go about it:

■Open the “Start Menu” by clicking the “Start Button” in the lower left corner of the screen or by tapping the “Windows” key on your keyboard.

■Scroll down to "Back up these folders" and add folders as you see fit using the "+ Add a folder" option. If there are folders you'd like to exclude from the backup procedure then simply click on the folder found in the list and on the lower right hand corner of each selection is a "Remove" button.
