How to Become a Dragon Priest in Skyrim

Sadly, vanilla Skyrim does not give you an option to become a Dragon Priest or any sort of undead, but delving into the wonderful world of modding, there is a great mod for how to do this.

Step 1)Install the 'Undeath' mod for Skyrim.

This mod will bring a lot to the game, including the option to become a lich, which is basically a dragon priest. You can find this mod on the nexus mod page located here:Undeath Mod. Keep in mind that you will require the Dawnguard and Dragonborn add ons in order to use this mod.

Step 2)Get to level 30.

In order to start the quest chain for this mod you will be required to reach level 30. Once you have done so through whatever means necessary, you will automatically be given the quest that starts the long quest chain for this mod.

Step 3)Complete the quest line and use the ritual yourself.

This is a long quest chain with several different dungeon crawls to accomplish. It's going to take you some time but for a mod the quests are all well designed and quite entertaining, just stick with them and you'll have a blast. At the end of it you'll have stopped a group of necromancers from performing a ritual to get everlasting life, as well as stolen all of the components for the spell, and how to complete the spell yourself. You could just let all those items sit on a shelf somewhere and go to waste, but what's the fun in that? Go ahead and follow the spells requirements and complete the ritual on your own.

Once the ritual is completed, you will receive a spell that can be activated like any of the shouts in game, when you activate this it will transform your physical appearance to that of a dragon priest lich, and any humans will be hostile to you for being an abomination against nature. You can still turn back into human form though, and there will be a cool down before you can change into the lich again, so you can still enter towns and pretend to be just a normal human from time to time.
