This tutorial assumes you have a Verizon 890L MiFi Hotspot. Other models will have very similar instructions, so the tutorial is vague enough to be fairly universal.
A MiFi is a portable Wireless hotspot. It takes broadcasts a small portable wireless network from Verizon’s 4G or 3G service.
The Mifi gets about 4 hours of use on a single charge, so be sure to turn it off after use. It uses the standard Micro USB chargers common on most smartphones (iPhones excluded).
Here is how to connect to your MiFi:
Use the switch on your MiFi to turn it on.
Go to the bottom right corner of your computer screen and look for the wireless adapter (looks like cell bars).
Click on the adapter to see a list of available Wireless Networks.
Your MiFi should be called Verizon -890L-####
Click the MiFi and hit Connect. Flip the MiFi upside down to get the password off the back of the unit.
Enter the password into your computer and you should be connected.
Finally, select Work as your location for this network.
Congratulations, you are online!
