How to Download, Install, Enable and Update Punkbuster for Any Game
Introduction
As you likely know, Punkbuster is a programs used in many games to prevent cheating and/or to kick out cheaters. Likely when the Punkbuster has a software related error it prevents the user from connecting to game servers. In this tutorial we will ensure that this doesn't happen.
Note: First make sure that Punkbuster is enabled and running. Sometimes it can turn off after windows updates and/or restarts. You can do this by searching "services.msc" in the start menu and then making sure Punkbster A and B are Enabled.
Step 1
Navigate to this link and download Punkbuster.
Step 2
Extract the file you just downloaded and run the executable. Click "I Agree" and then let the program update
Step 3
Click on "Add Game" and then select the game{s} that you wish to update Punkbuster for. Let it download and update.
Recap
You should be set to go! If this doesn't work, make sure you haven't accidentally disabled "Punkbuster" in msconfig in the services tab.
