How To

How To Emote in Overwatch

Each character has their own custom emotes unique to the character, but how do you use them you ask? Well, here's how.

Step 1)Unlock the emote of your choice.
First, you need to unlock the emote for the character, this can be done in two ways. The first is by receiving the emote unlock as a random reward from the loot boxes you can either purchase for real money, or earn for each time you level up.Your other option is using the credits you can sometimes get from the loot boxes to unlock the specific emote you want, this is more reliable by far, and each emote costs 250 credits.

Step 2)Equip the emote.
Once you have the emote unlocked, you'll need to go to your hero gallery, select the hero you want to equip the emote on, and choose the emote to equip it. Now any time you emote in a game with this character, it will use the equipped emote you selected.

Step 3)Go ahead and try out your new emote!
Head in game and you can now use your brand new emote whenever you like by opening the quick communication menu. On PC this can be done by pressing 'C' or on X-Box by pressing down on the D-Pad. Once the menu is open, select emote and watch your character strut their stuff.

That's all there is to it! Now when you pull off an amazing move in game that might just show up in the play of the game, feel free to show off your moves with a good emote to spice up that play of the game.
