This can be a very difficult fight if you just charge in swinging a greataxe around hoping for the best. It's a very long dungeon crawl just to get to this guy in the first place, dying to this guy here can be very frustrating and having to turn around and leave so you can come back later with better gear and more levels isn't fun. Let's go over how to kill this guy a bit easier even with some pretty pathetic gear.
Step 1)Equip a bow and some light armor.
For this method to work, stealth and range is going to be key. Bring out your best bow and arrows, and your lightest armor, or even strip down naked if you don't generally carry light armor. The better your stealth ability here, the easier this is going to be to pull off.
Step 2)Save your game and get close enough to see where this Falmer is standing.
Save your game first here, because unless your sneak skill is high there is a good chance you are going to get spotted doing this. Because of the fog and mist in this room, getting a clear view of the Falmer can be tough, so try to get a good view of where he is without getting spotted and then get back to the doorway.
Step 3)Take pot shots at the Falmer from the doorway.
This can take a while to bring him down, but if you are persistent you can kill him without him or his bodyguard ever having a chance to take a swing at you. What you will be doing is taking a shot at him from the doorway, you won't be able to see him because of the fog but that's why we went to see where he is, and then you run for it up the hallway. Once you are shown as hidden again you sneak back down and take another shot at him. Do this enough times and he'll die and you can take on his dwarven centurian alone, which is a much easier fight.
If you are still having trouble with the dwarven centurian as well, without his Falmer buddy, you can use the same strategy on him too. Good luck in there!
