How to Run DSR On A Unsupported Game

DSR (Dynamic Super Resolution) is an Anti-Aliasing feature NVidia has recently come out with. What this does is render a game at a resolution higher than your native resolution then downsizes it to your native resolution on your monitor. Because the higher resolution will make the picture more crisp, rendering it at that resolution then downsizing it to your native screen res also makes it look better.

Note: DSR is NOT LIMITED to 4k only, you can run DSR at 2k or 3k or any other resolution you desire (as long as it's above the native resolution of your monitor).

Most games do support DSR natively, good example is Portal 2. However some games like War Thunder and World of Warships do not work well with DSR (mouse does not function right). To fix this, we have to take 1 extra step to fix it:

Step 1:

Right click desktop and go to "Screen Resolution". Then select the resolution you want to play in the game itself (for this example, we want to play 4k DSR on 1080P):

Step 2:

Go in game and select the resolution you want DSR to render at:

For some reason, the game want the desktop to be rendered at above or the same resolution as it is in the game to make it happy.

Hope this helps!
