This tutorial will guide you how to setup your PS4 controller with your Samsung Gear VR .It's important to know that any game that can be played with a controller on Gear VR also requires a supported controller. The thing here is that the controller for PS4 at this moment is not supported and there are minimum chances that will work perfectly on Android via Bluetooth. To set up a PS4 controller with the Samsung Gear follow this steps:

    ■ The first important thing to do is to root your phone because this process will not work without this, but if you still are sure that you don't want to do it, than you should go with the USB method. If you don't have a lot of knowledge on how to do the root method, than do a little research first so everything can go in the proper order.

    ■ After the process is finished the next step is to download the Sixaxis Compatibility Checker. After doing this if everything is okay with your device you can go with the next step, if not you will have to go with USB.

    ■ Download and install the Sixaxis Controller application. For now it's the only app that works properly.

    ■ Visit this site : http://dancingpixelstudios.com/sixaxis-controller/sixaxispairtool/ , download and install the tool for your computer. When the process is over, run the tool and then plug in the PS4 controller into your computer using a USB cable.

    ■ Take your phone and open the Sixaxis Controller application. Read your local Bluetooth address from the bottom of your phone screen.

    ■ After reading the local Bluetooth address from your phone you should place it into the SixaxisPairTool and then press update. After this few steps your controller should be ready to start connecting with the Android device you have.

    ■ Click Start in your Sixaxis Controller app on your Android Device. Press the Home button on your PS4 controller so it can connect to your Android Device. If the connection went wrong then check your Bluetooth address. If it connects then the light on your controller should be blue, if not just try again the steps 4 and 6.

    ■ You will see 3 dots in the Sixaxis Controller application, click on them and then click on Preferences.

    ■ When you click on Preferences next you go to Gamepad Settings.

    ■ In Gamepad Settings select Enable Gamepad.

    ■ Next > Edit Mappings
    ■ You can now put your phone into your Gear VR
