As an administrator, Assigned Access in Windows 10 allows you to limit standard (non-administrator) user accounts’ access to only one app.
In order to set up Assigned Access for a user, you must be logged on to Windows 10 as an administrator. Also, you can only set up Assigned Access for a user account that has been used to log on to Windows at least once.
While setting up Assigned Access, you can limit the users access to an app that is either built-in or downloaded and installed from Windows Store or any other source.
Here is how you can set up Assigned Access in Windows 10:

Here is how you can set up Assigned Access in Windows 10:
- ■Sign-in to your Windows 10 computer with the administrator account.
■Make sure that the user account on which you want to set up Assigned Access is not an administrator, and that it has been used to log on to Windows at least once after it was created.
■After the confirmation, click the Start button.
■From the left pane of the opened Start menu, click Settings.

■On the SETTINGS window, click Accounts.

■From the left pane of the ACCOUNTS window, click to select the Family & other users category.
■From the right pane, ensure that the target account is listed under the Other users section.
■From the bottom of the right pane itself, click the Set up assigned access link.

■Once the SET UP ASSIGNED ACCESS window opens, click the Choose an account option.

■From the Choose an account box that pops up, pick the user account for which you want to set up Assigned Access.

■After the user account is selected, click the Choose an app option.

■From the Choose an app box, click to select the app that you want the user to access.

■Once this is done, close all the opened windows and boxes and restart the computer.
■After the computer restarts, you can allow the user to use the account configured for Assigned Access.
