How Do I Use Windows 8 Recovery Disc?

When Windows 8 is purchased as a pre-installed operating system on a laptop PC or a desktop computer, the operating system allows users to create one set of Windows 8 recovery discs. The entire set of Windows 8 recovery discs consists of 6-8 DVDs. This pre-installed version of Windows 8 operating system allows users to create only one set of the recovery discs, and if users want, they can order a backup copy of the discs from the vendor of the computer. Many times the backup copy of Windows 8 recovery discs is shipped to the customers’ addresses absolutely free of cost.

Set of Windows 8 recovery discs must be used in the situations when the operating system fails to boot, and users are displayed with error window. In such cases, recovering the entire operating system from the Windows 8 recovery discs brings the system back to the factory state, hence allowing the users to use Windows as if they were working on a brand new PC.

Process of using Windows 8 recovery discs may differ depending upon the vendor of the computer on which the operating system has been installed. However one basic requirement to successfully recover a Windows 8 computer using recovery discs is that the BIOS of the computer must be configured to boot the system from the DVD. Once the computer is configured to boot from the DVD, first Windows 8 recovery disc must be inserted in the DVD drive, and on-screen instructions must be followed thereafter. Windows 8 recovery process automatically prompts the users when other discs from the set of Windows 8 recovery discs are required to complete the task.

How to Use Windows 8 Recovery Discs?
