There's a little known settings menu within Overwatch that allows you to customize your settings based on what character you are currently playing. Didn't know about this? Well here's how you can find it!
Step 1) Bring up the in game menu, or set this up from the main menu as well.
Pressing 'esc' while you are in game will bring up the menu, but you can do this outside of a game as well. I'd suggest doing this in the training grounds with bots, so that you can test out your new settings as you change them.
Step 2) Go to your control settings.
Click on options from this menu and then the control tab along the top, this menu here will show various customization options available to you, but not all of them for your specific hero yet.
Step 3) Access the heroes drop down menu
In the top right hand corner of the controls screen there is a drop down menu. Clicking on this will show every hero in Overwatch, and when you select them there are character specific customization options for each character.
Now that you've found these options you can customize all sorts of things for specific characters. Want to see health bars so you know when to help with healing as soldier 76? Here's where you turn that on. Want a different reticle just for when you are playing Hanzo for sniping people with the bow? Set it up here under his drop down and it will apply only to him now. Go ahead and explore, there's lots of options for everyone!
