- ■Log on to your Windows 10 computer with a local or Microsoft account.
■Click the Start button when on the desktop screen.
■From the left pane of the Start menu, click Settings.
■From the SETTINGS window, click Ease of Access.
■When the EASE OF ACCESS window opens, from the left pane, click to select the Other options category.
■From the right pane, from under the Visual options section, slide the Play animations in Windows button to the left to turn off the animations.
■Optionally, you can also slide the Show Windows background button to the left to keep Windows from showing the desktop wallpaper.
■You can also make other changes using the configuration options available in the interface as needed.
■Once done, close the EASE OF ACCESS window.
■If needed, restart the computer to allow the settings to take effect.
