I've checked everything and all is in order according to the vague motherboard manual. The 3 pin connector i was talking about, must've been the fan controller. I've switched the pled - and pled + power leads like you say in your thread HiTechObessed and the only thing that changes is the video...

I can confirm I connected the start button with to the motherboard, the 24pin socket is in correctly and I didn't reapply new thermal compound because the intel one has thermal compound already. Shorting test results..... Shorting pins didn't do anything.

I don't understand what you mean! The 24 pin connector and the 8 pin connector are both securly fitted to the motherboard, which one do I short?
