DP to HDMI is an active transition, DP is bitstream HDMI isn't, so that cable needs to be more than just a cable. It also might only be 1 way, so have you got a DP to HDMI, or HDMI to DP? This for instance...

why can't you print to PDF and have the location on that other PC? What output format would you expect if you were emulating a printer? Would you be expecting an image, a jpg?

The page for your mobo will tell you what CPU's will work at what bios revision, under CPU support. If you use CPU-Z it'll tell you what revision you are on now. Your mobo manual will tell you precisely how to update.

I'm running a 3900X with a dark rock 4 (huge air cooler), idles at mid 40's to low 50's, peaks mid 60's, but that's got a lot to do with the fan profile.

It's not OCing, it's boosting, it's designed to perform as well as it can, with temp and power limits. It's happy with those temps.
