What is a GOOD CPU Temperature?

33 is absolutely fine. My CPU throttles itself when the temperature hits 72+ Celsius, which gives you an idea of what CPUs can usually tolerate.

    Dual Core or Quad Core?

I'm trying to decide between a dual core and a quad core i5 processor. Here's the problem: I'm building a general-purpose mini-itx PC. A dual core processor would (I assume) generate less heat and be more manageable for a mini-itx build. Plus, I'm using an h55 motherboard, so a dual core would...

Need advice on a mini-itx case.

Thanks for the advice! But do you think the Q11 would be unmanageable? The thing is, I'm a student, and I have to move about 6 times each year, so that extra portability would be nice. Plus, a mini-tower form factor works better with the arrangement of my room. I have to place my PC under my...

Need help to try and match this system for less

Hm.... let's see.... 10 GB of RAM and a six-core CPU with a ATI Radeon HD 5570. You list "gaming" as second most important, so in my opinion: YES! you can definitely do better than what Dell is offering

    HTPC + RAID 5 + Bittorrent + DLNA Box

Take a look at the Lian Li PC-Q08. That thing has 6 hard drive bays, but is quite large by mini-itx standards. As for the MB, Zotac announced just today it's H67-ITX WiFi motherboard, which DOES support RAID5, but you'll have to wait a while for that to be released, obviously.

Need advice on a mini-itx case.

Hello! I'm building a general-purpose mini-itx PC, and I need some help selecting a case. I'm currently looking at either the Lian Li PC-Q08 or the PC-Q11. The PC-Q11 is smaller by about 4300 cubic cm. But I've been told that it may be difficult to cool. Processor: Intel i5-760 quad core...

With the Lian Li PC-Q11, how big a problem is cooling?

So I'm building a mini-itx general-purpose PC right now, and I'm trying to decide between Lian Li's PC-Q08 and PC-Q11 cases. I'm not willing to consider mini-itx cases that require slim DVD writers, such as a lot of silverstone cases, because, well, slim DVD writers cost about 3 times as much...

    HTPC build help

Hm.... If you're not going to do any gaming, you probably don't even need an independent graphics card let alone SLI/crossfire
