So is the ethernet adapter setting for speed set to "Auto Negotiation" or a fixed speed? Have you tried a different ethernet cable... -

This is almost always a bad ethernet cable when it is stuck at 100mbps. Try a new cable, you need nothing real special. Cat5e is...
