Just want to clear something up for SLI

gotcha, gotcha, so it just uses the minimum amount of ram between the 2 and splits processing power, correct?

Just want to clear something up for SLI

Hey guys, I'm a long time AMD-ATI fanboy and I've just built my first Intel-Nvidia pc. I've used the Radeon compatibility matrix to figure this stuff out before. I know I can use two of the same cards with different amounts of RAM, but what is the actual drawback of using say a 660 3gb DDR5...

Will Corsair VS450 450 Watt PSU run NVIDIA GeForce GTX650

yeah, giantbucket's right; if you're actually going to play new games save up and build a pc for yourself instead of just refitting an old POS.

    Noctua NH-C12P SE14 (or NH-C14) or Corsair H100i (others?)

THe noctua's going to be a little quieter, and the H100i isn't "low-maintenance" it's actually "No-maintenance". IMHO the h100i makes for a cleaner looking system and is also easier to work around since there's no radiator actually on the motherboard. Also corsair offers a 5 year warranty on...

Will Corsair VS450 450 Watt PSU run NVIDIA GeForce GTX650

Yeah, it will. I would recommend either a CX or RM if you're doing any kind of real build though. 450's really down there as the lowest you'd ever want if you're connecting video cards and extra HDDs, and the VS aren't 80 Plus rated. Just something to think about.

Corsair Vengeance Or Ripjaws G.skill ?

<--- I'm probably a bit biased, but I personally think the Vengeance look cooler... and I, too, agree that you should go with less sticks. The memory controller has to do less work the less memory sockets you use.

Problem with brand new corsair cx600 + hard drives won't power on properly

Was the PSU the only thing you swapped out?

Can't find the right corsair product for sale!?!

Yeah, Corsair doesn't actually sell the gold one for that speed. DON'T try and rip it off one and put it on the other. And I'd personally just go with the red or grey. It may not look as beautiful with your setup, but you don't have to do any overclocking to get it where you want it.

does PSU Corsair VS 450w is a pure PSU which certified by 80 plus ?

Yeah, the VS series are not officially rated on the 80 Plus scale, but it's still not a bad PSU. Honestly I'd probably go with a CX modular if you're looking for something sub $100. You get an 80 Plus Gold rated PSU that'll look good in any case because it's modular.

Which one for me, between Seasonic, Corsair, and Superflower for reliability down the road?

The RM series really is great (I have an RM650), and it's only ever come on when I'm playing Crysis 2 at Ultra; but even then it's still hella quiet! Also if something *does* happen to it we're really good at making sure that you get your components replaced and your rig is back up and running...

Should i install my Corsair Hydro Series H40 CPU Cooler?

Yeah, the 300R is a great case for sure! I personally have the Vengeance C70 and I love it, but I use the 300R at work. It's sleek, clean, and has a surprising amount of room on the inside for expansion. If that's your price range I'd say go with either that or the 330R for a more "silent" case...

Should i install my Corsair Hydro Series H40 CPU Cooler?

SO one thing I noticed about this case is the ability to use the optical drive bays as a fan mounting spot, you might be able to mount the h40 there, but you'd be losing the ability to draw air from outside. I wouldn't recommend mounting it on the case side because it would be awkward and hard...

    Corsair Power Connectors

Yup, as per the model spec sheet the cables you have will work on the 1200, however I STRONGLY recommend you grab one of these kits: http://www.corsair.com/en/power-supply-units/psu-accessories-1/professional-individually-sleeved-dc-cable-kit-type-3-generation-2-white.html
