i have a budget of 600$-700$. i want amd products and 1 ssd, and 1hdd drive. decent graphics to use as secondary gaming comp for family to use. they dont have to run games at ultra 1080, but maybe medium graphics at 720. any suggestions would be appreciated. i will not need an operating system...

if its a new build make sure you have all direct x files and updated drivers for all. also you could be missing a redistribute or two. also make sure you use windows update to keep all that up-to-date.

6gb on video card would benefit you only if you planned on having multiple monitors and also for video editing purposes.

i would like to add, that you might want to consider getting a smaller ssd and use that strictly for the OS and a 1tb hdd for games and other storage (music/pictures/documents). Also, you can avoid the monitor being so pricey if you get one with 60hz refresh rate. 120hz and 144hz are newer...

most likely you did have sp1 as it installs with windows updates. try to install it, some programs will not work if you are not using windows 7 sp1.

what is the OS? is this OS 32bit or 64bit? also when you ran the windows install, did you do UEFI install, or normal install with MBR? did you try running the catalyst as administrator? if you have windows 7, did you make sure you installed the SP1 update?

whats the graphics card model?

maybe the pci slot you are using is bad? do you have an extra pci e slot to try? also be sure to check the quality of your connectors and wires, if you have gold plated hdmi connections try rubbing them with a clean eraser.
