Updating the bios did nothing. The ssd is a sandisk x400 128gb

I have a Dell G3 15 3500, my laptop only has 256Gb of storage so I wanted to upgrade. I got an old SSD and used diskpart clean all to wipe it. Still the drive isn’t detected at all, not in bios, not in disk management, device manger, diskpart etc. Out of ideas, I put the drive in the PCIe 1 slot...
