I need to view and edit PDFs on my computer and not in browser. What free or low cost programs are available and safe? Adobe isn't and was never installed on my machine. I only need the program a few times a month for editing but a few times a week for viewing.

I agree, but it failed and required a new license key. I'm not real good with this stuff and contacted Microsoft for help. They're the ones that looked at my old license and said they don't support OEM license and I had to get a new license key for the install.

You are correct, I have 8gb in an Acer Aspire 3 A315. I think the memory is maxed out. This is an old laptop that I bought new around 2015. I have somethings coming up that will need a lot more and better computing power so I've held off buying new. I may go with a desktop and a similar laptop...

Thanks and yes. I have extensions that are needed for Firefox to operate and run videos and and show PDFs in browser. The only one that I have added is AdBlock Ultimate. I will check out the info you've shared.
