Thanks to this thread I went ahead and upgraded the CPU on my M2A-VM as well. I upgraded from a Phenom x4 2.3ghz quad core to Phenom II x4 945 95W. All I had to do is update BIOS to 5001, drop in the new cpu, disable CNQ and Enable ganged RAM. I disabled cnq and enabled ganged based on posts...
