Something I usually find helpful is search up (in your case) GTX 970 benchmarks on google, try and find a game that you own, then match the graphics settings in game, and compare the results.

I am not sure whether your motherboard is compatible with SLI, or whether you were planning on trading in your current card (if thats an option?).
