geofelt said it best. noctua has some of the best support for their products. but I really don't think a third fan will do all that much considering the minimal difference between 1 and 2 fans, I think it would just bog down your motherboard way too top heavy than any performance value

I cant speak for prime but when I use aida 64 with 4790k and nh-d15 I get around 64ish degrees with spikes in the 70s but sounds like a reasonable temp with the noctua.

i vote for noctua! i went from h100 to a nh-d15 and wont go back. yes its much bigger but its dead silent

i know the reason why i would stay with nvidia hence why i own a 980 is because amd doesnt have hdmi 2.0 and i use a 4k tv to get 4k content at 60hz. but between the two its going to come down to personal preference on which you want. also know that nvidia drivers are usually optimized better...

i have the fans on auto shutdown

but before the power supply was very quiet. now you can tell its running higher than normal

as the title states i have used 3 different power supplies and the fan is always running. my set up is : 4790k asus z97-a evga 980 sc noctua nh-d15 the psu's ive used were corsair tx 750, evga 850b2 and evga 1000w g2. it started after i installed sli 970 and ever since then it just always runs...

i can get a decent acer 4k monitor for just about 550. which can also do 1440p at 60hz

i currently have 2 970s powering a 50 inch 4k tv so im not worried about playing on 4k....just want a monitor cause im tired of using my tv for my pc...or should i go multiple 1080p displays? my budget is about 550 canadian
