Stock cooler sounds like a dragon fly and sad circus...

But I'd go for cleaning the CPU off while it's locked in and that is tricky I don't wanna.......idk about the grease, but I'll try setting a lower steady fan speed...

Stock cooler sounds like a dragon fly and sad circus...

Problem is, I'd have to mess with da CPU again i.e. take off fan, clean that glue, add glue, and add new fan. I'd probably get a aftermarket cooler if I built again. Can you buy and drop oil on the fan without removing it?.....

Stock cooler sounds like a dragon fly and sad circus...

First, it is the i7-6700 stock cooler. Second, it is the only fan that makes a loud noise, the 5 case fans are quite and have their own distinct sound. Third, the stock cooler is set to keep increasing/decreasing by temperature. While the revving and de-revving is understandable, the...

New computer but my pictures and music are not the color and sound I love, help.

I built a new pc, with Asus Z170-A motherboard including Crystal Sound 3, windows7, and a 1060 GPU. Same outer hardware peripherals ~ monitor & speakers. And I have yet to try the VGA cord since the *new DVI (digital) cord may be why. *Though the color looks modernly updated like windows10 (pic...

Safe to install windows 7 on internal HDD on the table?

I'm testing out my internal Seagate HDD and adding windows 7 etc before screwing the thing in the case. It is on the table, while also the wires are also could be pulling on it a tad since its power wire goes to the DVD reader on a seperate table too. Is it safe? Will the parts in a hdd make...

Stock cooler made 4 clicks, 3 pins not as far as the 4th.

1 is fully in. The other isn't. The other two aren't toooo bad. But all 4 made a click when it was installed. http://advancessss.deviantart.com/art/Untitled-647470783?ga_submit_new=10%253A1479941447 http://advancessss.deviantart.com/art/Untitled-647471064?ga_submit_new=10%253A1479941546

My Skylake went to 63C for a bit.

Then why can't it work past 130C? Cus it melts! You're wrong. The transistors & wires come apart some way. Also what gives this one article n comments say 100C is intel's throttle down limit, then what is the 71C at Tjunction all about. Also how many degrees celcious would 4.0 down to 3.4...

My Skylake went to 63C for a bit.

Like I mean you say 1,400C but 71 for operating but no 71 is when the wires start falling off and things start meltin a tad..

My Skylake went to 63C for a bit.

I built a powerful desktop, was refereing about my kitchen laptiop. If nothing inside it will melt then why would intel say 71C is mine's limit while self shutdown is around 100 maybe? They want us to avoid melting all those 14nm transistors right? They are like 30 atoms wide, add some photons...

My Skylake went to 63C for a bit.

But then why does Intel Ark website say my Skylake i7-6700's max CPU temp it should ever get is 71.0C at the limit???? I want this thing to be "over-protected" from even being near a danger-zone.

My Skylake went to 63C for a bit.

I had just finished building my computer, I bought really expensive and good quality parts, and I work with important data i.e. I don't want the computer processor to mess up calculations that I wouldn't know about (text most importantly). I had opened Open Hardware Monitor and exported a...

Stock cooler made 4 clicks, 3 pins not as far as the 4th.

But only 1 is fully in, the other 3 black rods do not meet the white nobs as much as the 1. You understood it the wrong way...does this change your answer?
