mortsmi7's point is that this Minecraft update was not pushed to Windows users because it was pushed to them over a year ago. It's called the 1.8 release of Minecraft. Instead, we are waiting for the 1.9 release.

HoloLens is not for consumers. Microsoft has stated this already numerous times. It's squarely aimed at business applications. As such, the price tag of $3000 is perfectly reasonable.

Now that is one exorbitant price. The older USB power banks are way cheaper than that at roughly $10-15 for similar capacity.

It's important to note that T-Mobule is just the USA brand of Deutsche Telecom. It's the parent company that's doing the expansion.

HTTPS per se won't stop your ISP from injecting ads, etc. If your ISP manages to trick your computer into installing its own root CA (as part of an "ISP welcoming" package for example), they can easily generate certificates to their heart's content and inject anything they want into your...

Just prior to the DirectX 12 demo, the same demo was shown running on the same hardware but in DirectX 11. The difference in photo-realism was dramatic.

In his closing remark Joe Belfiore explicitly stated that Continuum for Windows Phone requires new hardware. We were left with the impression that said hardware will be the next item on the agenda, but instead we got HoloLens, so this remained just a cryptic remark.
