Its because the 8 pin was split into 2 4 pin cables. My old motherboard only had a 4 pin slot. Ok I plugged the 2 4 pin cables to make an 8 pin cable, but my pc still isn't turning on. I think the power switch might be broken. Is there another way to turn on the pc without the switch?

Sorry for replying so late. Ok so my case is a Raidmax Monster II ATX. I seem to have all the necessary cables as far as I can see. That includes the 24 pin motherboard power cable, 8 pin cpu cable( I only have the 4 pin connected right now), and the cpu fan cooler cable. The extra cables that...
