before buying a new power supply i would suggest you to ask a friend for one or to go to a store and ask them if they can try to boot your pc with one of the PSU that they use for testing.

Do you get any sound when you start a computer like a number of beeps? also did you try to turn it on watching if all the fans run correctly, i ask the last question because one friend of mine forgot to plug the CPU FAN and well you know.

mid tower is ok right now my mobo is microATX but i plan to change that in like 1 year to a ATX so as long as is suported in the new case im fine with that and i will put a radiator in 240mm will do the thing nothing else really crazy.
