Well there is 6 channel controllers but with only 30watts per channel. As for needing 60watts I thought most computer fans where under well under 30watts.
The most common problem with a laptop if the power block is working ok would be the connector where the power plugs in. That female connector usually comes unsoldered from the motherboard.
I cant see it being just Steam. As I have Steam running with over 100 games and no problems except the games that have issues with Windows 7x64 and those I have even found work a rounds for. I would say its a driver problem, video is alot of the times is the culprit.
