I don't get why people think they can swap drives like that. It's a different board. It's like saying you can just open up somebody's chest and swap their heart with yours. New PC, fresh install.

Have you checked your GPU utilization? It's a new PC. Issues coming out after a week when you changed your cooler can be purely coincidental. And by that I mean you seem to be focusing on what may/may not have happened with your cooler/CPU/mobo during the switch.

If you're absolutely certain you installed the cooler correctly with proper thermal pastes and all then it's probably not your cooler. Actually either way it's probably still not your cooler. It has only the power connection and the CPU seat related to your board. Unless you did somehow screw...
