Oh i am doing just what you suggested, open case but instead i use 2 fans to get the warm air around the pc moving. So its really not an airflow issue. The only thing left really is the cooler so thats gonna be my last ditch attempt.

I already cleaned it all and i already have a "extreme fan version" setup using 2 fans to get the heat out of the case and dispelled throughout the room. The cpu has always run stupid hot, easily reaching 90c just when booting the computer. So i assume i have a cpu cooling issue?

Also check if you have proper airflow. A gpu overheating after a cpu goes hot kinda sounds like trapped heat. The basic principle is that your computer suchs fresh air in on the front and the hot air out on the back. If the front is blocked or for some reason air does not circulate well...
