    The Pentium G3258. Most modern games do not use multiple cores effectively, so you won't gain much with the i3. The Pentium is unlocked so you can overlock it. The Pentium is cheaper as well.

    No. The cpu will automatically shutdown at 90c. If it shutdown from overheating once, no damage will occur. Just try and avoid continually having temps 80c+

    A cpu under $150 that fits the gtx750ti

    Go with a Pentium G3258. The Pentium is a dual-core that is unlocked and can run (almost) any game at nearly max settings. (You can't do that with a 750 ti.)

    The i5 only out speeds the Pentium during a Turbo Boost. The i5 also has 6 MB of L3 cache opposed to 3 MB. The i5 will barely outspeed the Pentium, but the Pentium can be overclocked easily and produces less heat.
