As long as you don't format your hdd, your files will be perfectly safe. They will probably be assigned to different drive letters after installing windows on your new ssd but it wont delete your files in your hdd. And disconnecting your hdd wont delete files either.

Just to report back.. I believe the issue is fixed. Was advised to update my lan driver and since that.. no more crashes for more than a week.

Voltage wise.. the values are between the min and max according to HWmonitor. And will definitely give everything a good old scrub. I'll then post if that fixed the problem.. for other people probably in the same situation. Thank you!!
