Right, they could not find or duplicate the problem. They said they updated the bios to the latest one.

Thanks. I put t all back together, and it is exactly the same. If we assume the motherboard is good, then should I try a second CPU? If the problem persists when a new CPU is installed, what would be the next logical step?

This is what I received from them. They are sending it back today, arrival date to be Monday. Thanks for your inquiry! Repair process has completed and your product has been shipped back to you. Nothing revealed about what they did to fix it.

I sent it back at my expense. I think it is a lost cause. I hope they can accurately tell me what is wrong with mb. Builders like us need a set of parts. With spare good mb or cpu, etc., we could narrow the cause of failures ourselves.

What is the warranty worth? Does Lenovo have a good reputation for taking care of warranty work? Just wondering if it is worth preventing you from upgrading for three whole years.

Please budget for a bigger power supply. Your system won’t take any more from your power supply than it needs, but if it needs more than your power supply can give it, you will have problems. For CPU, I5 , 11th gen or better will be a must in my opinion. Good luck.
