    How could I test to see is it working? BIOS detects it And detects no failures. Fan seems to be spinning normally ~1500-1600 rpm

    Yeah I'm gonna try and apply the new thermal paste see does it solve my issues. If not I'll buy a new cooler.

    You looking for a new one or used? If it's new then the GT 1030 seems like a pretty good option. Used you could get an r9 280 for pretty cheap

    I have considered getting a new cooler but I'm wondering is it necessary since I don't plan to overclock the system, nor was the temperature caused by oc'ing, I mean the cooler seems to be working. Do you think it's necessary?
