    About to build a new system. I heard about the GTX 770, but I kept it in the back of my mind. I was going to build my PC with the GTX 670 FTW, would the 770 have better performance? If it will, I can wait since it's in the same price range.

    The 7870XT is based off the 7900 chip. In theory it is basically a 7930. It's pretty powerful.

    The HD 7870 would be somewhat of a better performed than the 7850. It would at least let you play Battlefield 3 at High/Ultra settings.

    I'd say the 7870 GHz is the fastest, but if you wanted to save up an extra $50, get the 7870XT from Amazon since it uses a 7900 base. So basically 7870XT = 7930.

    If you can afford it' get the GTX 670. If you're comfortable with overclocking, you can over clock the 670 to stock GTX 680 performance. If you can't afford the GTX 670, get the HD 7950 Boost.
