Before answer please try up to date browser ... but is it true I have to go to https://chrome.google.com/webstore/category/extensions manually "vs" having a default link in hamburger menu etc to "get" "new chrome extensions? Why would Chrome Browser itself "NOT" have a embedded link in setting...

Yes I agree however this may be part of microsoft therein if i do as you say without knowing i may lock myself out of the system if valid ... therein again I pose the question who knows about this software is it from microsoft or malware ... please do not respond if you are unsure and share that...
