Thanks, the cpu was purchased from Amazon warehouse so it could be damaged or a dud. Q: I updated to the latest Intel Chipset Drivers this morning. Could the old 2020 drivers have prevented the 11th gen cpu from being recognized on the z490 mobo? Thanks again

I updated to 7C75vAD (2023-09-01) via thumbdrive with the 10400f still in and it installed properly (still using it now with the 10400f reinstalled) but 11700kf didn't work... Do you mean I ought to try roll back to the A6 version and try again or that one and those after it ought to work with...
